They always manage to take a vacation during the New Year’s but this time around a lot of them are staying put due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, quite a few have jetted off to spend quality time with their family or their rumoured halves to ring in 2021.
Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra, Karan Johar, Shilpa Shetty, Sonali Bendre, Ananya Panday, Ishaan Khatter, Tiger Shroff, Disha Patani, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Aamir Khan and several others took off to holiday destinations to celebrate New Year. Here’s a lowdown of our celebs’ whereabouts.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are vacationing in Rajasthan with their families. They are accompanied by Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor, his sister Riddhima Kapoor, brother-in-law Bharat Sahni, niece Samara Sahni, Alia’s mother Soni Razdan and sister Shaheen Bhatt. Alia, Riddhima and Shaheen shared several videos and selfies from their sojourn.
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone also took off for Rajasthan and even met Ranbir and Alia. Apparently, the couples are staying at the same resort.

Malaika Arora has been at Goa since Christmas with beau Arjun Kapoor and sister Amrita Arora and her family. She has been sharing some really cool pictures from Goa. Karan Johar also joined them and Malaika shared a picture with him and Amrita and captioned it as, “Eternal Posers”.
Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra
Shilpa Shetty also took off for Goa with her family for celebrating New Year 2021. She shared some gorgeous pictures of herself soaking up the sun.
Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra
Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra jetted off to The Maldives to ring in the New Year. They shared some amazing pictures of the azure blue waters.
Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday
Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday also alighted at the Maldives to celebrate New Year 2021. Gorging on burgers and fries and taking a dip in the pool, their social media photos took everyone’s breath away.
Disha Patani and Tiger Shroff
Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani took off for an undisclosed location presumed to be their favourite holiday spot The Maldives. They once again chose the beach over mountains. Disha shared a photo of paddling in the sea while Tiger shared a glimpse of the resort they were staying at.
Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao
Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao celebrated their 15th anniversary on December 28, 2020, in Gir National Forest and Park with family that included son Azad Rao Khan, Aamir’s daughter Ira Khan and his nephew Imran Khan. Later on the actor and his family went to Sidhudurg in a private helicopter to ring in the New Year.
Sonali Bendre and Goldie Behl
Sonali Bendre also took off with her family for the New Year holidays. She was accompanied not only by her husband Goldie Behl and son Ranveer but also by her BFF Gayatri Joshi Oberoi and her family. They supposedly went to Seychelles for the trip.
Kajal Aggarwal and Gautam Kitchlu
Newlyweds Kajal Aggarwal and Gautam Kitchlu are holidaying in Shimla. Taking to Instagram, the actress shared dreamy pictures from her New Year vacation. The couple are accompanied by their friends as well and according to Kajal she is ‘jumping into the New Year’ with friends and family.
Karisma Kapoor
Karisma Kapoor is soaking up the sun at Alibaug. She shared stunning pictures of herself from a yacht as she made her way to the city as well as a sun-kissed picture on New Year’s Eve 2020.
Kareena Kapoor and Anushka Sharma
Last year, coincidentally both Kareena Kapoor Khan and Anushka Sharma were holidaying with their respective husbands Saif Ali Khan and Virat Kohli in Switzerland. However, this time round they have stayed put in the country as interestingly both are expecting and are heavily pregnant.
