Amitabh Bachchan tests negative in his latest COVID-19 test, confirms son Abhishek Bachchan; veteran actor discharged from the hospital

The nation's prayers have been answered! Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, 77, has defeated the invisible enemy- Coronavirus. The megastar along with his son Abhishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and granddaughter Aaradhya Bachchan was found COVID-19 positive on July 11. After a long fight, Mr. Bachchan has tested negative in his latest test. Elated and grateful, Abhishek, on Twitter, gave the piece of good news. As he continues to remain at the hospital for treatment, Abhishek said Mr. Bachchan has been discharged and will be at home. 

"My father, thankfully, has tested negative on his latest Covid-19 test and has been discharged from the hospital. He will now be at home and rest. Thank you all for all your prayers and wishes for him," Abhishek tweeted.

Abhishek informed via Twitter that he is on the path to recovery. He said he will remain in hospital till he is tested negative and is fully fit to return home. Assuring he will beat COVID-19, Abhishek thanked his well-wishers for their wishes and prayers. "I, Unfortunately due to some comorbidities remain Covid-19 positive and remain in hospital. Again, thank you all for your continued wishes and prayers for my family. Very humbled and indebted. I’ll beat this and come back healthier! Promise," Abhishek said. 

 

Aishwarya and Aaradhya were discharged on July 27.
