A new turn of events has occurred in the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case. It’s come to light that his father Mr. KK Singh had asked Mumbai Police’s help four months earlier to the actor’s demise, but to no avail. As per the legal counsel of the actor’s family, they had believed Sushant's life was in danger and immediate action was required but no action was taken by the Mumbai Police. Senior Advocate Vikas Singh shared with media, “We had told Bandra Police on February 25 that Sushant is not in a good company and please have a look at him so that no harm happens to him. And that was the time when he was in complete control of Rhea Chakraborty.”
However, Vikas Singh also said that even Bihar Police was not willing to file an FIR in the case and it was lodged only after the intervention of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He said, “When we approached Bihar Police to lodge an FIR they said high profile people are involved. I am thankful to CM Nitish Kumar that he considered our request and got minister Sanjay Jha involved in the matter. When he explained the matter to the police then an FIR was registered.”

While speaking to the media, Singh, who is also the former additional solicitor general, said, “FIR has been registered now as the family was in shock and the Mumbai Police wasn’t registering an FIR, but forcing them to give names of big production houses and get them involved. It (the investigation) was heading in a different direction.” He has demanded immediate arrest of Rhea saying that her custodial interrogation is necessary for truth.
He further said, “In criminal jurisprudence, an FIR can be registered at a place which has even a part of the cause of action and in a crime of this nature, you have to work on the mind of the victim. You control the mind by first distancing the victim from the family, the distancing from the family started by disconnecting Sushant Singh Rajput from his father and not letting him talk to his father. This is not a crime done in the spur of the moment, the death itself is not the crime. It is the facts leading to death which is a crime, and it includes shutting out the family and that ingredient is very important which happened in Patna.”

Sanjay Kumar Singh, Inspector General, central range had informed that an FIR was lodged at the Rajiv Nagar police station in Patna against Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her family members including parents and brother under the various sections of the Indian Penal Code. He said, “KK Singh lodged the case with Rajiv Nagar police station against Rhea Chakraborty, and her family including Indrajit Chakraborty, Sandhya Chakraborty, Shruti Modi, Showik Chakraborty and others under Sections 341, 342, 380, 406,420, 306 and 120 (B) of the IPC. Sushant’s father has made a serious charge against Rhea and her family. He has alleged that she had kept Sushant away from his family and completely in her possession. She was also handling his bank account. It was also reported that crores of rupees were withdrawn from his bank account.”

Sushant’s father has raised the following questions:
Before 2019 my son had no mental health issues but after coming into contact with Rhea, why did Sushant develop these issues?
Why was the family not consulted or their written or verbal consent taken for his treatment?
We even believe the doctors who treated Sushant on Rhea's recommendation are a part of the conspiracy.
When Rhea knew my son had mental health issues she did not stand by him, she took away all the papers and left my son alone which pushed his to suicide.
My son's bank account transaction history shows he had Rs 17 crore in one account, of which Rs 15 crore has been transferred to an account that had nothing to do with him. This should be investigated.
There should be an investigation into why Sushant Singh Rajput stopped getting films after his association with Rhea.
Sushant wanted to get into organic farming in Coorg with his friend Mahesh. Rhea protested this and threatened to release his treatment papers to the media and destroy his career.
When Sushant did not give in she left him and took away his treatment papers, laptop, credit cards, jewellery and cash.
I tried many times to reach out to my son and talk to him but Rhea and her associates and family members did not allow me to talk to my son.
