Gulabo Sitabo: Amitabh Bachchan corrects an interviewer who called Ayushmann Khurrana a rising star, says, 'he is a very risen prominent star'

Marking a new wave in the history of cinema, Amitabh Bachchan’s and Ayushmann Khurrana’s Gulabo Sitabo is the first big-budget Hindi feature film to release on Amazon Prime Video. The Shoojit Sircar directorial brings together the veteran actor and the star of the young generation for the first time. Talking about the film during an interview with an international publication, Mr.Bachchan hailed his co-star Ayushmann. He went on to correct the question that mentioned the Vicky Donor actor as a rising star and said he is a risen prominent star who is living up to his name which means long-lasting. Calling the young generation of actors brilliant, Mr. Bachchan said he learns in their company.

"Correction, Ayushmann Khurrana, is not a rising star... he is a very risen prominent star, living up to his name Ayushmann which means long-lasting, LONGEVAL. With due respect, the oft-repeated question ‘how was it working with him’ in all such interviews is most cliched. We are all considered professionals and when we work on a project we all wish to bring the best output in the interests of the film. If we do not enjoy the company of our colleagues the project suffers. The final outcome of Gulabo Sitabo will be decided by the audience of course, but I can tell you, that working on it has not been a suffering!! The current younger generation is brilliant, each and every one of them. They are so well prepared, confident, equipped with the very best talent and faultless. I learn in their company, for I lack what they possess, and consider myself fortunate that I get an opportunity to do so," Mr. Bachchan stated.
