Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi will soon be sharing screen space for the first time in Shakun Batra’s upcoming yet-untitled film. While the makers are still on a lookout for their second male lead, Ananya expressed her excitement on working on this project. Although not much is known about the film, Ananya revealed in a recent interview that a few readings before the lockdown have already taken place and it will be like she is going back to school to learn things from everyone the set.
Ananya said, “I don’t think I can tell you how excited I am, I actually have a wishlist of all the directors and actors I want to work with, on my phone. Then, when I actually got to tick Shakun Batra’s name off the list, it felt like its all working out and it was an overwhelming feeling for me. I can’t talk much about my role in the film. But, I think it’s very interesting and there has never been anything like it in Bollywood. We’ve had a bunch of readings and workshops before the lockdown. It’s going to be a very interesting experience for me because I am going to be sitting with my book and noting down everything I learn from Shakun and Deepika or everyone else on the sets. I’m going to take this film like I’m going back to school and I want to learn and absorb as much as I can.”
Ananya’s interview has gotten thumbs up from Deepika as well who seems to be just as much in awe of her co-star as she is smitten by her. Deepika even shared a glimpse of the interview and wrote, ‘Cute’.
