Bhumi Pednekar has been advocating for nature conservation through her breakthrough innovative initiative Climate Warrior. The actress was keen to interact with kids and understand from them their views on climate change and she decided to surprise a bunch of them by joining in their virtual classroom!
Bhumi was surprised by the clarity of thought and vision that the kids had and also interacted with them on the solutions they proposed to protect nature and earth. In fact, she also received artwork from Abhyudaya Ashram, an institution that she has been supporting which is a home and school for abandoned, socially backward and underprivileged children, including girls rescued from prostitution for nearly 3 years now. Check out the fun interaction here:
I met the sweetest, cutest, most adorable and very, very smart Young Climate Warriors for a very special project for World Environment Day. They told me about their vision and dream for Mother Earth mixed with lots of laughs, giggles, pee breaks and even some screaming (watch out for that ) PS - they will ‘draw’ you into their hearts. #ClimateWarrior A big shoutout to @startsmartlearning and @fablestreet.in for bringing all these little cuties together for this special project !
Bhumi also advised the kids saying, “It is so important to plant trees. So, you should make sure that you along with your mother and all your friends can maybe make it a community exercise out. You guys are the future.”
She further educated the kids saying, “The theme this year pretty much everywhere is to co-exist with nature and the various species that we share our planet with. These are animals, underwater life, plants, bacteria and viruses. Our planet is equally their home as it is ours.”
