The reports of Katrina Kaif and Ali Abbas Zafar collaborating for their next did the rounds a while ago. The film touted to be a superhero venture is to mark the reunion of the actress-director duo after the success of Bharat. Confirming the same during an interview with a leading daily, Ali told that he has locked the script while locked down at his home in Dehradun and will go on a recce when the Coronavirus lockdown is lifted and the situation returns to normalcy. The ace filmmaker further added that he is making the most of the lockdown and is holding script reading sessions with the actors. Not just this, he is in touch with an international team for action sequences. Ali is coordinating with the production designer too.
"My next is a superhero film with Katrina. Recently, I locked that script and it will go on the floors once the lockdown ends. There’s a lot of prep required because of the kind of action involved and I am in touch with an international team over video calls. I’m also doing script readings with my actors and chatting with the production designer. There’s a lot happening," Ali told.
As per reports, Netflix has acquired the rights of the superhero film with Katrina and it will be developed into a proper web-film. This Ali directorial, which is said to be converted into a franchise, will now be a two-part Netflix film. However, there is no official confirmation on this development.
