‘He used to look forward to my Eid parties, will miss him always,’ says Jaaved Jaaferi as he remembers Rishi Kapoor on the joyous festival

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30 after valiantly fighting cancer for two years. The actor left a deep void not only in the hearts of his family members but also amongst his friends, fans and the Bollywood fraternity. Today, on the joyous occasion of Eid, Jaaved Jaaferi recalled a memory related to Rishi and the festival of Eid-Ul-Fitr.

Jaaved reacted to a post shared by a fan club of Rishi which had posted, “Had the Boss been alive he would have definitely wish all a very happy #EidUlFitr So we are again missing you Rishi Kapoor ji #Eid is here.” Replying to the post, legendary actor Premnath’s son Monty Premnath wrote, “My Brother #RishiKapoor's Body has Left All of us But . . His Soul Will Always Remain Amongst He Wishes #EidAlFitr To All his Loving Fan's.”

Jaaved replied to Monty’s tweet and shared that Rishi always looked forward to his Eid parties, and wrote, “he used to look for ward to my Eid parties..he was a gem..will miss him always.” 

Rishi is survived by hs wife Neetu Kapoor, daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and son Ranbir Kapoor. Recently, a prayer meet on his terahvi was organized which was attended by his family members and Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Navya Naveli Nanda, Alia Bhatt and others.
