Yes, it has happened with me, and I have lost out on projects for saying no: Chitrangda Singh about dealing with casting couch in Bollywood

Casting Couch is a bitter truth of showbiz as well as many industries. The #MeToo movement of 2018 bought a lot of skeletons out of the closet with big names being named and shamed for sexual misconduct and inappropriate behaviour. After Ayushmann Khurrana, now Chitrangda Singh has admitted in an interview with an online portal that casting couch does exist in Bollywood. Speaking about the sad reality she said that there are people like this everywhere and she has seen it right from her modeling days to Bollywood and she said that the corporate industry is just as bad as the glamour world.

When asked about casting couch, Chitrangda’s reply was similar to actor Rajeev Khandelwal’s reaction. She said, “There are people like this everywhere. Right from my modelling days to Bollywood- I have seen them at all times. Corporate industry is just as bad. Yes, it has happened with me but, I would like to say that the Bollywood industry is not the place where anybody forces you. There is enough space and respect for everyone and their choices. You do feel bad when you lose an opportunity but then those are the choices you make. So, you don’t sulk about it. It feels bad and I have lost out on projects too but at the same time if you are comfortable with it, then go ahead and do it. I am not here to judge anyone.”
