We must not forget those without a voice: Shah Rukh Khan urges everyone to treat stray and abandoned animals with care and compassion amid Coronavirus lockdown

Shah Rukh Khan has urged his fans and followers to not to forget the stray animals amid the Coronavirus lockdown as they have not been getting food. SRK in a tweet appealed for contributions towards the cause and feeding of the animals that are going hungry because of the Coronavirus pandemic.

He wrote, “As the world is coping with the outbreak of COVID-19, We must not forget those without a voice. Let’s make sure stray & abandoned animals are treated with care and compassion,” and shared a link of an NGO through which people can help feed the animals by making donations.

Previous to Shah Rukh several celebrities have urged people to not to forget about the animals who have also been affected by the pandemic. Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, Saqib Saleem and many have asked people to not abandon their pets thinking that they might be a cause of COVID-19 and to also feed the strays who are not getting food as a result of the nationwide lockdown.

Shah Rukh through his companies- Kolkata Knight Riders, Red Chillies Entertainment, Meer Foundation and Red Chillies VFX and along with wife Gauri Khan has donated and contributed to a number of relief funds including the PM CARES Fund and state CM funds to combat Coronavirus outbreak in India.
