Actress-musician Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, according to a report in an entertainment portal has filed a property case against her ex-husband Shekhar Kapur. Apparently, one of her friends revealed to the portal that Suchitra had no options left but to go to court against the filmmaker as the property which belongs to their daughter Kaveri is being used by Kabir Bedi.
The report further mentions that Kabir Bedi's flat is the only property that is the bone of contention between the ex-husband and wife. And since their daughter is just 19 years old, Suchitra reportedly wants her not to struggle during her formative years. In fact, Suchitra confirmed the court case and said, “I really don’t want to elaborate on this as it’s too stressful for me.”
However, what too us by surprise was when Kaveri told PeepingMoon.com that she had nothing to do with the case and she shares a loving relationship with the father. She told us, "Over the years, I have stayed away from commenting on any and every conversation pertaining to my parents and their dealings with each other. But yesterday, a media report carried my name in the context of a case that is between my mother and my father. I would like to set the record straight, I have a very strong and loving relationship with my father, Mr Shekhar Kapur. I am disappointed that my name was dragged in this manner. As a 19-year old, I know I can speak for myself. I have nothing to do with this case or any case between my parents."
Well, we wonder what Suchitra has now to say on this. For the unversed, Shekhar is yet to comment on the entire fiasco. Suchitra and Shekhar had tied the knot in 1997. The couple got divorced in September 2007.
