Did Salman Khan charge a whopping Rs 7 crore per day for the shoot of a Chinese smartphone brand?

Salman Khan was last seen in Dabangg 3, directed by Prabhu Deva and co-produced by Salman and Arbaaz Khan. Going ahead, he will feature next in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. Directed by Prabhu Deva yet again, it also stars Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff.

Considering Salman is one of the most bankable stars in Bollywood, it is not hard to imagine that he has several brand endorsements in his kitty and getting him on board for a brand takes a fair amount of money. According to a report in a leading daily, the actor was recently signed on as the face of a Chinese smartphone brand and guess what, he has been paid a handsome amount for the first commercial.

"Salman shot for the commercial at Mehboob Studio in Bandra last month. The superstar has charged a whopping R7 crore per day for the shoot. It is being touted as the highest fee paid to a Bollywood star for a brand endorsement. However, knowing that he enjoys a wide fan base in India, the head honchos were happy to shell out the sum. Salman has also allotted four to five days for the brand's next promotional activity, for which he will be paid the same fee," the daily quoted a source as saying.

Salman is yet to confirm the development.
