Remo D'Souza to direct an action-thriller as his next but sans his 'Street Dancer 3D' star Varun Dhawan

Remo D'Souza, while handling his choreographing duties, has emerged as a director to look out for. From thrilling action dramas to dance-themed silver screen spectacles, he has done it all. While his recent release titled Street Dancer 3D starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor received a thumbs-up from the critics, it ended up doing a lukewarm business at the box-office. Now, moving on, from one film to another, Remo, this time, will be venturing into the action spectrum post Race 3, which failed to work its magic commercially as well critically. The choreographer-turned-filmmaker, during an interview with a leading daily, told about his next and said although it is an action drama, it will be different from Race 3. He further added that the shooting will commence around April-May this year.

"My next is an action drama and it's completely different from Race 3. I had written a few scripts when I was busy with my choreographing duties, including a dance film. But this is the one I want to make first; I may start shooting for it by April-May. I am in talks with a top actor for the same," Remo told.

Talking about the lead actor, Remo said Varun, who starred in his directorials, namely, ABCD 2 and Street Dancer 3D, won't feature in the yet-to-be-titled action-thriller. "I think he is busy with other projects. Varun has his plate full with three films, so my next won't star him, but you never know after that. The ABCD series has been lucky for all of us," Remo added.

Street Dancer 3D, apart from Varun and Shraddha, featured Nora Fatehi, Aparshakti Khurana, Prabhu Deva with other professional dancers. The film released on January 24, 2020. Street Dancer 3D was produced by Lizelle D'Souza, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar.
