Sara Ali Khan made her debut with Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Kedarnath. She went on to create waves by featuring in Rohit Shetty's Simmba and will now be seen alongside Kartik Aaryan in Love Aaj Kal. She also has Coolie No 1 remake with Varun Dhawan in the pipeline. What's more? Recently, the actress announced that she will soon be collaborating with Akshay Kumar in Aanand L Rai’s Atrangi Re, which also features Dhanush.
Sharing a string of photographs where Akshay and Dhanush are planting a kiss on the actress's cheeks apart from the two later pulling Dhanush's cheek, Sara wrote on Instagram, "I can't believe my luck... My next film: 'Atrangi Re'... Blessed to be working with @aanandlrai sir...In an @arrahman musical. And so thankful to have @akshaykumar sir join hands with the extremely talented and incredibly humble @dhanushkraja and myself."
Now during an interview, Sara was asked about working with Akshay, who has collaborated with her father Saif in films like Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Tu Chor Main Sipahi and Yeh Dillagi. To which she replied, “I don’t know him at all. I did visit some of their sets, but I never interacted with him much. I will meet him officially on the sets of our film now." She signed off by saying that Aanand has given her a really beautiful character.
Well, we certainly cannot wait to see the trio share screen space soon!
Atrangi Re is set to release on February 14 next year. It will be backed by Bhushan Kumar under his banner T-Series and co-produced by Aanand's Colour Yellow Productions and Cape Of Good Films. The music will be by A R Rahman and the film will be written by Himanshu Sharma. The film is scheduled to go on floors on March 1, 2020.
