Ever since the trailer of Saif Ali Khan’s upcoming film Jawaani Jaaneman has been unveiled the actor is basking in its glory as it has created the right buzz amongst the audience. Saif plays a reluctant father in the film who gets a rude shock when he finds out he is a father to an adult daughter who shows up on his doorstep one fine day. Pooja Bedi’s daughter Alaya F is making her big Bollywood debut in the film by playing Saif’s and Tabu’s daughter.
The Nitin Kakkar directorial is highly anticipated but little does anyone know that the film was earlier planned with Saif and his real-life daughter Sara Ali Khan. In an interview with an entertainment website, Saif confirmed the news and said, “Yes, what had happened was that Kedarnath had almost been shelved and Sara didn't have another movie. So this film was around and being the knight in shining armour and a good daddy, I asked her if she would like to do this. She had said yes."
However, he further added, “Kedarnath came back on track and then, Simmba also fell in place. I only told her then that listen Sara, don't do this film. This was a backup for you. I think I could have done it with someone else but she should be working with Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan next. She said she would like to do that. I wouldn't want her to do a film just because it's me. It gets really complicated when it's about family."
Well, that seems very pragmatic. Meanwhile, on the work front, Sara has quite a few films in her kitty including Love Aaj Kal opposite Kartik Aaryan, Coolie No 1 with Varun Dhawan and a film with Dhanush in the works too.
