Prateek Kuhad is no new name. The singer, over the last few years, had achieved a strong foothold in the music industry with his highly popular songs. Not just across the nation, but also Internationally, Prateek has left behind his indelible mark and we have proof. The former President of United States of America, Barack Obama, keeping up with his yearly ritual of sharing his favourite music list, shared the shortlisted tracks on his Instagram account. Much to Prateek's surprise, he found one of his songs on the list. Titled Cold/mess, the song features amongst 35 others.
An elated Prateek, on Instagram, shared the screenshot of the list Obama uploaded. "This just happened and I don’t think I’ll sleep tonight. Totally flipping out. I have no idea how cold/mess even reached him but thank you @barackobama, thank you universe I didn’t think 2019 could’ve gotten better, but damn was I wrong. What an honour," Prateek wrote.
Cold/mess has been streamed 3,621,169 times on Spotify and 2,849,647 times on JioSaavn, while the Dar Gai-directed video, featuring actors Jim Sarbh and Zoya Hussain has been viewed 4.7 million times on YouTube. Cold/mess released in 2018.
