There was panic amongst Bollywood buffs as rumours of Mahesh Bhatt passing away due to heart attack went viral. However, his eldest daughter Pooja Bhatt has rubbished these reports. She took to social media to quash the rumours and even shared pictures of her acclaimed director-father as proof.
Taking to Instagram she wrote, “To the rumour mongers and the ones who called in a genuine state of panic upon hearing that my father @maheshfilm had a heart attack and is dead, here is ample proof that he is his usual self, living dangerously and kicking! In red shoes no less! This one ain’t going nowhere in a hurry and will hopefully survive us all!” The photographs show Bhatt sitting in the living room and looking hale and hearty. Pooja even commented on how her father would probably outlive all of them.

Bhatt is back to direction with the sequel to his 90s hit film Sadak 2 that had Pooja and Sanjay Dutt in the lead. He has returned to direction after nearly 20 years. Sadak 2 stars Alia Bhatt, Dutt, Pooja and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead. The film is scheduled to release on July 10 next year.
