'Our furniture was sold off one by one': Tiger Shroff recalls how Boom’s failure affected his family

Tiger Shroff is one of the most sought after action stars in the country but his journey to stardom was not easy. While the baggage of his father's stardom weighed on him, his family had to face a phase of struggle when in 2002, his mother Ayesha's production, Boom, leaked on the Internet before its theatrical release. Speaking about the rough patch in his life, Tiger told a leading magazine, "I remember how our furniture and stuff was sold off, one by one. My mother’s artwork, lamps... Things I’d grown up seeing around us started disappearing. Then my bed went. I started to sleep on the floor. It was the worst feeling of my life. I wanted to work at that age but I knew I could do nothing to help."

For the unversed, Tiger was 11 that time and was old enough to understand what was going on when the film tanked at the box-office. Hence, he prefers to do what he knows, rather experiment much. Apparently, the uncertainty of those years was a powerful motivator for him.

Next up, Tiger would be seen in Siddharth Anand's action-entertainer War, which also features Hrithik Roshan and Vaani Kapoor. When asked if he feels being typecasted as an action hero, he told the magazine that being typecast is just another way of finding his identity. "You think of Shah Rukh sir [Khan], [and] think [he's the] 'Romance King'. You [look at] Salman Khan, [and] think 'Bhaijaan'. Each one of these guys has a label. That's important in an industry that has so much competition."

War is slated to release on October 2. Apart from that, he also has Baaghi 3 in the pipeline.
