Watch: Ayushmann Khurrana shares insights about his transformation into ‘Pooja’ for ‘Dream Girl’

Ayushmann Khurrana is on a roll after winning a well-deserved National Award for Best Actor for AndhaDhun this year. Gearing up for his upcoming film Dream Girl, Ayushmann will once again surprise the audience with his hatke role. Ayushmann is playing a man who can also talk in a woman’s voice in the film and plays female parts in Ramleela and Mahabharata plays. Now, the actor has shared a behind-the-scenes video where he is seen getting ready to play the role of a woman in the film. The video has definitely increased the excitement about the film.

Ayushmann shared the video on his social media accounts and wrote, “Entertainment ke liye kuch bhi karega! Here’s how I transformed into your Dream Girl!  Catch a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes of #DreamGirl.” Watch the amazing video below:

In the video, we get to see Ayushmann’s attempts at transforming into a woman. Talking about his role he says,, “Yaar dressing like a female is a task yaar, ek toh mujhe puri shave karni padti, thodi stubble aati toh fir shave karni padti thi, daadhi main hair, uspar extensions, it would take three and half hours to get ready. For the sake of entertainment you should go all out, I have respect for all the women. Character main elbow room hota hai as an actor you can do a lot and Pooja is that character aapka ladka bhi ladki bhi hai, ladki ka aawaz nikalne ka mauka mil raha hai".

We also get to see the voice modulation and coaching he underwent to portray the character of ‘Pooja’ onscreen in Dream Girl. Dream Girl also stars Nushrat Bharucha, Manjot Singh, Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, Abhishek Bannerjee, Nidhi Bisht, Rajesh Sharma and Raj Bhansali. The film is produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobhaa Kapoor under their production banner Balaji Telefilms. Dream Girl is written and directed by Raaj Shandilya and is all set to hit the theatres on September 13.
