The makers of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy released the first look of legend Amitabh Bachchan as Gosaayi Venkanna this morning. The film features stalwarts of Indian cinema namely Amitabh Bachchan and Chiranjeevi along with Tamannaah, Vijay Sethupathi, Kichcha Sudeep, Nayanthara, Jagapathi Babu, Ravi Kishan and more.
Excel Entertainment, which will be producing the period drama, shared the first poster and captioned it as, "Gosaayi Venkanna, the guiding force and guru behind Narasimha Reddy's freedom struggle. #WarriorsOfSyeRaa". The first look of Big B is intense and intriguing.

In Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Chiranjeevi plays the Andhra freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy while Amitabh plays spiritual leader Gosayi Venkanna, guru to Chiranjeevi’s character. The period drama retells the story of the Kurnool-based freedom fighter’s battle against the British. Apparently, his revolt against the oppressive British Raj came much before the first revolt of Independence in 1857. The film is produced by Farhan Akhtar-Ritesh Sidhwani under the banner Excel Entertainment in collaboration with AA Films and Ram Charan Teja under Konidela Productions. It is directed by Surender Reddy.
