A few days ago, it was reported that Swara Bhasker has parted her way from longtime boyfriend Himanshu Sharma after five years of dating. The two started seeing each other while working on Aanand L Rai’s 2015 film Tanu Weds Manu Returns starring Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan, and went on to collaborate on two more films, Tanu Weds Manu and Raanjhanaa. In fact, Himanshu was also the creative producer on Swara’s 2016 film, Nil Battey Sannata. It was said that their break-up was amicable and they are still on talking terms with their respective families are aware of their decision.
Now as per a report in a leading daily, the reason behind their breakup is due to their disagreement on the issue of marriage and about what the future should look like. It is being touted that trouble in the paradise began when Swara asked Himanshu about marriage and he replied that marriage was never on his mind. Himanshu's decision prompted the actress to call it quits and move on. Earlier to, when Swara was asked about marriage plans, the actress had said, “Ab woh Himanshu ko poocho. Unilateral decision main kaise lun (Ask Himanshu, how can I take a unilateral decision)?”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Swara was last seen in Sonam Kapoor’s Veere Di Wedding, co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shikha Talsania. She has also been roped for Faraz Arif Ansari’s queer film Sheer Khurma, in which she and Divya Dutta will play romantic partners.
