Ekta Kapoor’s much-awaited film Mental Hai Kya starring Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons lately. The film’s title was under controversy and so was its poster. Although, its quirky posters grabbed eyeballs, but the Indian Psychiatrist Society has raised several objections about the film. The film is set to release on July 26 but looks like it needs to iron out a few hurdles before it can open in theatres.
The film’s trailer release has already been shifted twice due to some objections raised by the Indian Psychiatrist Society (IPS) regarding the film’s flippant treatment of mental illness as depicted by the film’s title. The CBFC has taken cognizance of the matter and the film might have to undergo a change in title before the film’s trailer is released. According to media reports, the alternate title could be Sentimental Hai Kya?

This is not the first time a film’s title will be changed. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat was previously named Padmaavati while Rajkummar Rao’s and Janhvi Kapoor’s upcoming spookfest's name has been changed from Rooh Afza to Roohi Afza. Let’s wait and see what name Ekta finally agrees to for Kangana’s and Rajkummar’s film.
