Vipul Amrutlal Shah's 2002 film Aankhen, touted as one of the best suspense-thrillers ever made in Bollywood, featured Amitabh Bachchan, Sushmita Sen, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal and Paresh Rawal in the lead. An adaptation of Shah’s own Gujarati play Andhalo Pato (Blindman's Bluff), Aankhen had Akshay, Arjun and Paresh playing blind in the film. The film is all set to get a sequel Aankhen 2 , to be helmed by Anees Bazmee. Ever since the filmmaker confirmed the project, several names have reportedly been considered for the cast, including the likes of Jacqueline Fernandez, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Deol, and Vicky Kaushal. While Amitabh will be back to reprise his role, we now hear that Student of the Year 2 actress Tara Sutaria is keen to stake her place in the sequel to the iconic hit.
For the unversed, Tara met Anees on Tuesday and she was accompanied by her business manager for the meeting. “She is doing well for herself. She has Milap Zaveri’s Marjaavaan with Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh, and has also found a place in Sajid Nadiadwala’s remake of RX 100 which will launch Ahaan Shetty. Anees bhai has also been meeting quite a few actors, from Jacqueline Fernandez to Sidharth, for his film. It is obvious that with casting in mind, he will be meeting potential actors for the film,” a daily quoted a trade source as saying.

Meanwhile, Anees had recently confirmed to the daily, “We are starting Aankhen 2 this year. We are talking to people about it; it is a huge star cast. We have already done a lot of work on the film." Now with so many actors lineup for the casting, we wonder which stars would eventually bag the leading roles.
