Confirmed: Akshay Kumar has signed up for ‘another action war movie’ Prithviraj; his words

There’s no stopping Akshay Kumar from doing action films as the actor has confirmed that he has signed up for Prithviraj - an “action war movie,” in his words. During an interview with an eminent journalist for a leading website, Akshay spoke about his line-up of films as he mentioned that his three upcoming releases are action films.

Anurag Singh’s Kesari is scheduled for release on March 21 in which Akshay stars as a Sikh warrior. After the release of Kesari, Akshay will begin work on Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi – in which he has been cast as a cop – it is high on action, of course. Prithviraj is the other action film that he will begin filming soon after – his confirmation came after incessant reports suggested over a period of time that he has signed the film.

“I am doing two continuous action movies. Like, Kesari is an action movie. Then I am starting Rohit Shetty’s action movie. Then, I am starting Prithviraj – that’s another action war movie. It’s good,” Akshay said during his interview.

Reports suggest that Prithviraj is a mega-budget film and will be produced Yash Raj Films. It is a period drama and several quarters report that it will be directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, who has made films such as Pinjar and Mohalla Assi.

The film will reportedly narrate the love story of Prithviraj and Sanyukta and is expected to begin filming in mid-2019. However, no official confirmation has been made on the details of the film by its makers so far but we do know for sure that Akshay is starring in the lead role. Yay!
