After a hiatus of almost three years, Priyanka Chopra is all set to make her Bollywood comeback with The Sky Is Pink, which is directed by Shonali Bose. The project reunites the actress with her Dil Dhadakne Do co-star Farhan Akhtar and also stars Dangal girl Zaira Wasim. Interestingly, the much-awaited film has finally got a release date and is now slated to hit the silver screens on October 11 this year.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the release date on Twitter. Here's what he tweeted:
Now as per a report in a leading daily, Farhan will kick start the last schedule on March 1 with an eight-day shoot in Mumbai. The team will then on to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands for seven days. "Priyanka and Zaira Wasim, who plays their daughter in the film, will join him. They will film a wedding sequence in the Andamans, while the Mumbai portions are set on the streets," the daily quoted a source as saying.
For the unversed, Priyanka and Farhan had completed the London and Delhi schedule of the film before the actress took a break for her wedding with Nick Jonas. The team is currently aiming to wrap up the film by March end, which will be followed by work on the final edit.
The biographical drama is based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary who became a motivational speaker after being diagnosed with an immune deficiency order at the age of 13.
