Nana Patekar to send a legal notice to Tanushree Dutta, asks an apology for her false allegations

Former Miss India and Bollywood actor Tanushree Dutta has opened a can of worms when she accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of harassing her on the sets of the film Horn Ok Pleassss. Netizens and a few Bollywood celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Richa Chadha, Swara Bhasker, Sonam Kapoor, Twinkle Khanna and Parineeti Chopra have come in support of the actress. However, Nana has refuted all claims. Now the latest development is that Nana is in process of sending a legal notice to the actress seeking an apology for the accusations that he says are false.

Nana’s lawyer, Rajendra Shirodkar dismissed Tanushree’s allegations and called them false. He told media, “We are in process of sending a legal notice to Tanushree Dutta as she has made false allegations and has spoken untruth. We will send the notice later today which will be basically a notice seeking apology for her statements.”

On the other hand, Nana told a news channel, “What can I do about what one says? You tell me. What does she mean by sexual harassment? We were on the set, and there were 50-100 people sitting in front of us. What can I say?" Superstars like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan refrained from talking about the whole issue and evaded the question.

Tanushree has been supported in her claims by a senior journalist named Janice Sequeira who recalled the entire incident and said that Nana did intimidate and manhandled the actress. Tanushree eventually had left the film and was replaced by Rakhi Sawant.
