Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor are grooving to the beats of a new song from their upcoming film Batti Gul Meter Chalu titled Gold Tamba. The number is sung Nakash Aziz and composed by Anu Malik. The lyrics are penned by Siddharth and Garima.
Gold Tamba song has a zany and peppy beat to it and is somewhat on the lines of Saree Ke Fall Sa. However, the lyrics are kinda funny, with Shahid asking Shraddha that why she is settling for Tamba when she is getting gold. The song further on compares Gabbar Singh to Samba and Rambo to Ranjha. Gold Tamba also has a hilarious hook step and Shahid and Shraddha who are known for their dancing skills have nailed it perfectly. The song has been choreographed by Ganesh Acharya.
Shahid told a leading daily, “It’s such a fun song by Anu Malik and I totally love the lyrics by Siddharth-Garima. The character I portray allowed me to have a blast and working with Ganesh master for the first time was just killer.” Choreographer Ganesh said, “This is the first time that Shahid and I have worked together. He’s a good dancer, so it’s fun to choreograph him. I’ve tried to give him a different style of dancing, something he hasn’t attempted before. So, his fans will like that.”

Batti Gul Meter Chalu’s trailer was released last week and it has caught the audience’s fancy as the film is based on the issue of power shortage. Shahid and Shraddha both look super with their funny and carefree attitude in the film but when life takes a serious turn they both find themselves coming-to-terms with harsh reality. The film is directed by Shree Narayan Singh and is based on a social issue. It also stars Yami Gautam in a pivotal role.
