Sui Dhaaga: Made in India Trailer ft. Anushka Sharma-Varun Dhawan is stitched in emotional intricacies and ambitions

YRF’s latest film, Sui Dhaaga: Made in India, has been making all the noise for a long time now. Its lead actors Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan are pairing up on screen for the first time. Unlike the usual trend of going abroad, modern and glamorous, the film takes a dive deep into the roots and culture of India. Apart from a few pictures that the actors shared on social media, the film has been kept tightly under wraps.

Now, finally, the trailer has been launched and it speaks volumes of love, respect and ambition with a hint of humour. The trailer introduces us to Mauji a.k.a Varun as the village boy with a lost ambition. He is married to Mamta a.k.a Anushka Sharma, a small-town girl wanting the best for her man. Mauji is content with what he has even if that means being humiliated once in a while. However, Mamta cannot take it. She suggests that they start up something of their own, even if it underpays and is against the will of their elders. They, together, begin their 'Sui Dhaaga' journey from unemployment to self-employment.

A film with energy ball Varun has to be etched in drama and comedy. Sui Dhaaga is no different. Throughout the trailer, we see subtle touches of humour. However, both Anushka and Varun bring out extreme emotions, making us believe in them as Mauji and Mamta. The trailer is truly gripping and now we’re waiting for the film which we’re sure will be nothing but a pleasant ride.

After giving us critical hits like Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Titli and Bheja Fry, director Sharat Katariya is all set with Sui Dhaaga: Made in India. It is produced by Maneesh Sharma and Yash Raj Films marks the first collaboration of its lead actor Anushka and Varun. The film, which is inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s legacy and government’s Made in India campaign releases on September 28.
