Katrina Kaif on her single status, birthday plans and the kind of work that interests her now

The birthday girl, Katrina Kaif who turned 35 on July 16, 2018, is busy celebrating it on the countryside in England with her sisters. She might also head to spend a short holiday with family.

Katrina has been jam-packed since long, so she wanted some time to chill and recover. In a birthday special interview with a leading daily, she said, “I think it was all about the timing. The last show of Dabangg: The Tour Reloaded was on July 9, and it was close enough for me to take two days off and meet my family for my birthday. Had it finished earlier, I would have returned to Mumbai to finish my work".

She further added, "I went to meet some of my friends like Nitya Mehra and Zoya Akhtar in New York and then came to the British countryside to spend time with my family”.

Last year, Katrina had spent her birthday while in New York for an award ceremony. She talked about what has changed in the birthday celebrations for her over the years and said, "My birthdays are less stressful for me now. Either, I used to get stressed and panic about what I was going to do, wear, etc. Now, I am more at peace about it (laughs). It’s been really fun this year because it’s come at a good time".

The actress says she has evolved a lot in a year, especially now when she's single. She said, “Over the last two years, I’ve done a lot of self-introspection. When you are single, you get to know yourself more and discover the things that you like. Apart from that, work-wise, it has been a really satisfying year for me. I’ve enjoyed being on sets again because there was a phase where I wasn’t super inspired”.

She continued, "Also, over the last few weeks, I’ve been thinking about the kind of work that I want to do”.

On the work front, Katrina will be seen in Zero and Thugs of Hindostan next.
