One-film-old Ishaan Khatter is all set to make his official Bollywood debut with a flashy Dharma Productions' film Dhadak. He features as the male lead Madhukar, a naive - innocent boy who falls head over heels in love with a girl named Parthavi played Janhvi Kapoor. Madhukar and Parthavi belong to two different strata of the society, and how their love overcomes all the odds follows the rest of the narrative.
Firsts are always special, and thus, Ishaan and Janhvi are giving it their all to promote the Shashank Khaitan directorial. While talking to the media during one such promotional interview, Ishaan opened up about his co-star Janhvi - what he likes about her, experience of working with someones who is as new to the industry as him and his favourite scene he shot with her.

On working with Janhvi in Dhadak vs working with Malavika Mohanan in Beyond The Clouds:
"It’s been lovely. Malavika has done 3 films before and it was her first hindi film. I got to know her mostly on the sets as she was casted much after me whereas with Janhvi we spent a lot of time during preparations. We went to Rajasthan with Shashank and got to know each other. We spent a lot of days in Udaipur and got our characterization done. By the time we got on set with each other it felt like you were with your best friends. On beyond the clouds we were all surrendered to Majidi Sir’s vision and it was a sacred environment. While shooting for Dhadak’s first half we were all having so much fun that after a point I actually got worried that are we having the work done and Shashank used to tell me to relax and it was a wonderful time at Dhadak."
On his favourite scene with Janhvi:
"The 30ft jump scene. The honest truth is the only reason I was able to do that was because Janhvi was sitting there. If she hadn’t been there perhaps I’d have looked at it way too technically and overthought it but because she was there I was able to just fall. The literal metaphor ‘falling in love’ is what that is."
The buzz around Dhadak before its release has led to Ishaan and Janhvi being considered as promising stars among the media and audience. Their chemistry on and off the screen is being appreciated by viewers, and just like other actors who dated their co-star from their debut film, sections of the press speculate a brewing relationship between these two young newbies too!
Dhadak is a romantic drama film directed by Shashank Khaitan, produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios and stars Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter in lead roles. The film is a remake of the 2016 Marathi language film Sairat. It is scheduled to be released on July 20, 2018.
