Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli slapped with legal notice by man chided in the litter video

He shared the news with a leading media house over a text message saying, "Hi. My legal advisors have sent a notice to Mr. Virat Kohli and Mrs. Anushka Sharma Kohli. As the ball is in their court, no comments now..as in all fairness I should await their response."

Arhhan and his mother Gittanjali Elizabeth had recently told a leading daily how their life has turned into a nightmare post the cricketer uploaded the video. He said, "What happened was a genuinely unfortunate incident. That, however, did not warrant a video recording without my consent and public bashing."

His mother added, "We're going through a nightmare. The kind of threatening and derogatory comments against my son and family have been traumatizing...How can a tiny piece of cellophane justify my son being labelled as a "garbage man" "litterer" "criminal" "he and his family should be kicked out of the country", etc... How is this fair?"

Arhhan had earlier responded to the video posted by Virat, slamming the couple for making a huge deal for the "garbage that mistakenly went out of the window". He also claimed that Anushka lacked etiquette and began "ranting and yelling like a crazy roadside person".

In the controversial viral video, Anushka had reprimanded the man for throwing garbage on the road and husband Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli had recorded it. She confronts him, “Why are you throwing garbage on the road?” When her question was met with silence, she continued, “Don’t throw garbage on the road. Please be careful. Use a dustbin.”
