5 statements Ranbir Kapoor made about his bond with Rishi Kapoor: Meri dad se bahut phat-ti hai

Ever since the days of his first film Saawariya, Ranbir Kapoor was very un-star like in the sense that the actor never really put his feelings or opinions on display. He played the man of few words, and stayed in his cocoon, only to come out from time to time with stellar performances.

While it is a very well established fact that Ranbir is quite the Mumma's boy, his relationship with his actor father Rishi Kapoor wasn't really amicable. However, the mutual respect and love always remained intact. As a part of #SanjuSundaySuprise, Ranbir interacted with his fans on Twitter in a rare question and answer session. Besides dishing out some interesting details about his forthcoming film, the handsome lad also focused on the bond between him and his dad.

A fan questioned Ranbir if he'd like to work with senior Kapoor in a film. The young and versatile actor, who believes a father is a rock behind every person's life, also expressed interest in working with his own father Rishi Kapoor on-screen again. They had earlier shared the frame in Besharam.

It wouldn't be wrong to assume that Ranbir and Rishi beg to differ in their choices and taste. Ranbir, a hardcore Football fan, recently watched a soccer match with his father who, on the contrary, loves cricket. No points for guessing who schooled who!

Ranbir may not pick a combination of letters to express his affection for his daddy, but the sincere son in him makes sure his actions do all the talking! Sample his first gift to his Papa

For the actor, his father was always a pillar of strength throughout his roller-coaster personal and professional life but he still doesn't even know his eye colour. Because, Ranbir ki dad se "'phat-ti' hai"

Rishi wasn't like any other father, handing out compliments and wishes for free. You gotta earn it! Here's proof

Besides, RK also shared his favourite father-son onscreen moments from his films.

It is the bond between a father and his son that finds focus in Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju, which features Ranbir essay the title role and Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt.

All in all, fans of RK were in for a real treat as the actor has stayed away from social media for the longest time.

The movie also stars Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Manisha Koirala, Jim Sarbh and Karishma Tanna amongst others. The biopic releases in screens near you on June 29, 2018.
