'You know what Kareena, eat poo.' Twitter explodes over the actress' 'not a feminist' remark

Kareena Kapoor Khan is far from anything conventional. The 36-year-old debunked stereotypes as she bumped her way through pregnancy, balancing personal and professional commitments with ease and grace. She is basically the epitome of all things bold, and she rarely minces words. In a recent media interaction, Kareena, an idol for millions of mothers and girls, said she is not a feminist and believes in equality.

Asked about the idea of feminism, Kareena said, "I believe in equality. I wouldn't say I am a feminist, I would say I am a woman and above all, I am a human being. I am also as proud to be known as Saif Ali Khan's wife, as I am to be Kareena Kapoor. So that is just the way I am."

The actress made the above statement during the promotion of her upcoming female buddy film Veere Di Wedding. Ridiculing Kareena's understanding of feminism and her remark altogether, Twitter exploded with opinions.

There were also some who sided with Kareena saying 'feminism is all about equality' after all

And if you thought she left the event with just one fiery statement in her kitty. Sample this - When asked about working with Sumeet Vyas instead of her regular A-list heroes, Bebo quickly responded, "I have chosen A-lister heroines over A-lister heroes this time."

And if that wasn't enough to burn the house, she even put on display her begulling dancing skills and we are all Tareefan for her performance!

Notably, Kareena's daring statements have always turned heads if not set tongues wagging. The actress lent her support for the #JusticeForOurChild campaign in the light of the Kathua and Unnao rape cases and was trolled by a Twitter user for 'marrying a Muslim' and having a child with team. While Swara Bhasker did come to her defence, the actress has maintained a dignified silence over trolls, because, Kareena swears that she feels what she does is the right thing.

Over to you, Poo!
