You will be surprised to know how much Tamannaah is charging for her IPL performance!

The 11th edition of the Indian Premier League - IPL - is in the news a new reason lately. After Varun Dhawan being said to be the highest paid celebrity to perform at the opening ceremony, minting a record whopping Rs 6 crore for his act, we have the stunning southern belle Tamannaah aking waves for her alleged remuneration for her performance at the cricket extravaganza.

Reportedly, Tamannaah has charged a bomb for a performance, limited to mere 10 minutes. According to sources, she is being paid a whopping Rs 50 lakhs for her performance in the IPL opening ceremony. She will be shaking a leg with dancing legend Prabhudheva for a medley of songs from Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. Being a popular star down south will help the organisers' encash on her popularity. Moreover, she will be paying a tribute to South Indian cricketers via her act which is choreographed by Shiamak Davar.

"Before this, I have never performed for a sports event and of course, when you are on a stage there is a certain feeling of nervousness and excitement. As a performer, the feeling to perform in a stadium and to feel the energy of the audience will be completely different. I am excited because there is no better sports event than IPL to perform for. We are all crazy about cricket and it's the opening night," said Tamannaah, in a press interaction.

Talking about her performance, the actress shared, "This time, my performance is going to be on four songs in four languages. There is Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and a Hindi song. So it goes out to pretty much the whole of India."

Besides Tamannaah, Hrithik Roshan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Varun Dhawan will also enthral the audience for the IPL opening ceremony on Saturday.

On the professional front, Tamannaah is currently gearing up for Kangana's Queen remake titled Queen Once Again.
