Watch how Varun prepared for his role of a hotel employee Dan in October

Actor Varun Dhawan is currently waiting for the release of his upcoming film October which is slated to hit the screens on April 13, 2018. Directed by Shoojit Sircar, the film is a romantic drama and stars Varun and Banita Sandhu in the lead roles. It is not a love story, but a unique story about love. In the film, Varun will be seen playing Danish Walia aka Dan, a normal hotel employee struggling to do his daily tasks.

His journey as a hotel employee isn't easy but there is something that keeps him going. In a recently released video, we can see Varun slogging hard to embrace his role and had to try his hand at polishing, vacuuming, cleaning the toilets and every other thing a hotel management trainee has to undergo.

In Shoojit's own words, "People in the Hotel industry have to go through a lot of things," and it seems he left no stone unturned to make sure Varun understands the depth of character.

The film is shot in Delhi at Dwarka with a few portions being shot at Connaught Place, New Delhi, and Defence Colony, South Delhi. Varun's character Dan, who is a hotel employee, is frustrated with his job and expresses that having a small stall of 'Anda and Paratha' in front of LSR (a reputed college of Delhi University) would have been much easier and fruitful.
