This included info about its ‘U/A’ certification, its runtime of 2 hrs and 43 minutes (163 minutes) after undergoing five modifications. The song Ghoomar has also been replaced with appropriate visuals so as to not offend any community or person, living or dead. Words such as ‘Singhaldweep and ‘Dilli’ too have been replaced.

Akshay’s heroic act

On Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s special request, Akshay Kumar postponed his PadMan to avoid a box office clash with Padmaavat. PadMan will release on February 9 to allow SLB's controversial drama a solo release on January 25. Not for nothing is Akshay being referred to as a “Superhero” in the promos of his forthcoming film!

Iulia speaks out on Katrina

Iulia Vantur, Salman’s current girlfriend, claims to have zero issues with his ex, Katrina. She stated, “We (Katrina and I) spoke so many times. I think she has done a fabulous job in Tiger Zinda Hai, the stunts and everything. She’s done an amazing work. We have nothing to (fight about)… She’s a lovely girl.”

After his Dangal did phenomenal business in China, now Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar releases in the Chinese mainland. “There are many Chinese actors who are very talented… I really want to do films with talents from China. Your Chinese talents and us Indians, we should make a film together. I believe it’ll be wonderful,” Aamir gushed to news agency Xinhua.

Kangana Ranaut revealed the reason behind her need to share the “horrific secrets” of her life. “It felt like detox,” she maintains, adding, “So many religions have given importance to confession. SC removes state ban on Padmaavat

The Supreme Court removed the ban by at least four states that had refused to screen Padmaavat amidst fierce protests by Rajput groups, paving the way for its all India release on January 25. The apex court has said that the responsibility of ensuring peace lies on the states.

Amidst strong pregnancy rumours, Bipasha Basu took to Twitter to set the record straight… “Amused yet again. I kept a bag on my lap while getting into my car and certain media people started my pregnancy speculation again. Guys, I am not pregnant. Kind of getting irritating. Stay calm. It will happen only when we want it,” the actress retorted.

Trailer Tease

The trailer of Ram Gopal Varma’s docudrama ‘God, Sex, Truth’ grabbed eyeballs and set off reactions. Featuring American pornstar Mia Malkova, it is interspersed with her quotes on sexuality, love etc. RGV explained that the film, which will release on January 26, “intends to destroy hypocrisy, social stigmas and all religious dogmas with the extreme power of a beautiful woman’s reasoning mind in order to create a new sexual world.” Phew!

Abhishek Bachchan filled in for dad Amitabh Bachchan, who had suffered a flare-up of a shoulder injury, to launch Dabboo Ratnani’s famous 2018 calendar. With great shots of our favourite celebrities on the wall and glamour galore in the room, it was a magical night as always.
