London Diaries: It’s a 'vacation-celebration' for Alia and sister Shaheen!

“I love London!” Alia has confessed on numerous occasions. It is something of an annual pilgrimage for her, a trip to her ‘soul city’ as she calls it, at least once a year. She was already there this March and this Monday, November 20 she left for London again, to soak in the experience with her sister, Shaheen Bhatt. It’s a vacation cum celebration – they will bring in Shaheen’s birthday there on November 28 and only return to the bay by the end of the month.

The sisters have been giving us glimpses of their escapades, as Alia shared a picture of them, faces and hands popping out through a cut out of a bear and a hunter, which she captioned, “Blunder-land.” And yes, they do give us serious holiday goals. We can’t wait for more peeks into their winter vacation – London absolutely sparkles with Christmas close at hand.

Missing entirely from this happy picture of course, is Sidharth Malhotra. Earlier this year, when Alia was vacationing with bestie Akansha Ranjan Kapoor in London, we caught a sneak peek of Sid as well, as the trio clicked selfies in the park. However, despite reportedly looking forward to her month-long break with Sid, after working around the clock over the past few months, there has been no European sojourn for the two after all. There was talk of Alia having chalked out the entire holiday plan for herself and Sid. The plan had been to fly out after Sid completed shooting for Aiyaary with Manoj Bajpayee, and would culminate in a US tour as well, joined by mother Soni Razdan and sister Shaheen.

However, those holiday plans have clearly bitten the dust, after the couple apparently decided to call time on their relationship earlier this month. No more London vacay pictures of these once-lovebirds ever? We’re keeping our fingers crossed!
