It’s Khiladi Kumar’s birthday today! A power house of energy, adventurer, patriot, a successful business and family man, these are but a few words to describe what magnificence actor Akshay Kumar is.
Social media is abuzz with wishes for their favourite star. For his 50th birthday celebration, Akshay has chosen a family vacation to Swiss Alps with his kids Nitara, Aarav and wife Twinkle. They are joined by their good friends Gayatri Oberoi and her husband Vicky Oberoi. What better way to celebrate his golden year than an adventure holiday! “I am actually celebrating by giving my son his dream snowboarding holiday as I know it means a lot to him,” he told a leading daily.
On the occasion, keeping up with her reputation, Mrs. Funnybones aka Twinkle wished her hubby in a hilarious way. She took to twitter and posted a witty picture and captioned it, “The birthday boys and their merry cheerleaders! #happybirthdayboys.” Akshay and a friend are seen having a lot of fun getting the picture clicked!
The current year was a good one for Akshay as he had three releases Naam Shabana, Jolly LLB and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. His last release Toilet dealt with sanitation problems in the country. It struck a definite chord with the audience and was a box office hit. “I am absolutely thrilled with the response not only to the film but towards the cause,” he was quoted as saying. He bagged the prestigious National Film Award this year in the best actor category for his performance in Rustom this year.
On the work front, Akii will be next seen in R Balki’s Pad Man along with Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte.
