Yo Yo Honey Singh appears before court in domestic violence case filed against him by wife Shalini Talwar; rapper's parents to attend next hearing virtually

After skipping a previous court hearing in a domestic violence case, Yo Yo Honey Singh appeared before Delhi’s Tis Hazari court today. The rapper's wife Shalini Talwar had filed a case of domestic violence, sexual violence, mental harassment and financial violence against him in August this year. According to reports, during the hearing, the judge heard both the parties and their different stands on how and when Shalini left Honey's residence.

Reportedly, the court observed that there were contradictory stands on how Shalini left Honey's residence. According to Shalini, she was thrown out of the house on March 20 whereas Honey reportedly stated that she left home as per her own will on March 16. Mutually, both the parties reportedly decided that Shalini will visit Honey's residence on September 5 with two of her lawyers and a protection officer.

As per a report, the court gave Shalini permission to take people with her who can help her handle her belongings. The court further instructed Shalini to collect all her belongings and shift it to a place that is convenient to her. Shalini has been asked to film the visit. Reportedly, an inventory list will also be prepared and both parties have to sign it. It was reported that Honey's lawyer will be present during Shalini's visit.

The court has reportedly asked Shalini and Honey to avoid getting into any unhealthy conversation and advised them to tone down their agitation. The report stated that Shalini is required to submit her income affidavit by September 15 whereas Honey's income affidavit was handed over to the court by his lawyer today. The court asked both the parties to send each other their income affidavits electronically. Apart from this, Shalini and Honey have to submit their bank account statements, ITR and other income statements to the court.

Reportedly, the judge told them that in the next hearing, they'll sit down and focus on coming to a conclusion regarding the residence amicably. In case of no conclusion, the judge is expected to hear the matter in detail before passing an order.

Not just Honey, Shalini has named the rapper's parents in her complaint. It is being said that they have to appear before the court virtually on September 28. The court will also hear pleas for in-camera proceedings on the next date.
