Sugandha Mishra and Sanket Bhosale booked for flouting Covid-19 regulations during their wedding in Punjab

Nine days after their marriage, singer and comedienne Sugandha Mishra and her husband comedian Sanket Bhosale have been booked for violating COvid-19 restrictions imposed by Punjab government during their marriage ceremony on April 26. The manager of Club Cabana resort in Phagwara, where the wedding took place has also been booked.

The case was registered on Wednesday night against the bride and groom, their families and participants at the marriage after a video went viral showing a large gathering of people flouting COVID-19 regulations. They have been booked under Disaster Management Act and under section 188 of IPC for violating the official orders. The FIR mentions that from the media clip it emerged that several people gathered at the wedding flouting the regulations posed by Punjab government wherein only 10 people were allowed for marriage functions and this regulation was in place when Sugandha’s and Sanket’s wedding was held.

No arrest has yet been made, the DSP said, adding that an investigation was going on. Sugandha hails from Jalandhar, Punjab whereas Sanket is from Maharashtra.
