Television actress Tunisha Sharma committed suicide on the sets of her serial Alibaba – Dastaan-e-Kabul on December 24. A case of abetment to suicide was registered against her ex-boyfriend Sheezan Khan under Section 306 of the IPC soon after. Tunisha's mother put severe allegations against Sheezan and even claimed he cheated on her with another girl. Today, the late actor would have turned 21, and on the occasion, her mother spoke to the media remembering her daughter. The bereaved mother said that she is yet to come to terms with the loss of her daughter.
Now, latest media reports suggest that the makers of Alibaba – Dastaan-e-Kabul have re-started the shoot at another studio and are also looking for another lead who will replace Tunisha. The show will focus on Shayantani Ghosh and other characters. Actress Sapna Thakur posted her first day of the shoot after the unfortunate incident on December 24, 2022. Coincidentally, the shoot resumed on late Tunisha’s 21st birthday on January 4.
Currently, the makers have started shooting at a new temporary set called Renu Studios in Naigaon Mumbai, which is just adjoining the main set at Mother Nature studios in Naigaon Mumbai. But makers will soon shift to the original set after the new leads are finalised and things are back to normal.
For the shooting to happen smoothly, the makers would use cheat shots of dupes of Tunisha and Sheezan's characters, Ali Baba and Mariyum, which will be used to keep the logic of the characters and story intact. The search to find the actors to play the lead in the show is still on. As soon as it’s finalized, the makers will start shooting with all the actors.
