Ekta Kapoor’s iconic show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi starring Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay is Indian television’s one of the most popular and loved shows. The show was a massive hit and its characters and actors became a household name. After over 1800 episodes in eight years, the show went off-air but is still fresh in audiences’ memories. Now, the series is all set to make a comeback on television screens.
Ekta announced the re-run of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi on social media today by dropping a clip of the title track with Smriti Irani playing a young Tulsi Virani and welcoming the audience inside her house. Ekta wrote, “Is promo ki ek jhalak dekh kar hi saari puraani yaadein tazaa ho gayi (Just a glimpse of this promo makes me feel nostalgic). Today, as I look back, I recall every memory, every moment that made this show a most loved one! Usi pyaar ke saath judiye is safar se dobaara. Budhvaar se, harr roz, shaam 5 baje, sirf StarPlus par (connect with this journey with the same love, from Wednesday, 5 PM only on Star Plus).”

The series will once again air on television screens every day at 5 pm starting from Wednesday, February 16 on Star Plus. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi started with Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay in the lead as Tulsi and Mihir Virani but the latter was later replaced by Ronit Roy. The show also starred Mandira Bedi, Jaya Bhattacharya, Ketki Dave, Apara Mehta, Kamalika Guha, Aman Verma, Hiten Tejwani, Mouni Roy, and Sumeet Sachdev among other actors.
