Over the past couple of days, there have been strong rumours that the iconic character of Komolika will no longer be a part of the second season of Ekta Kapoor's Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Buzz was that Hina Khan, who plays the stylish and glamorous vamp on the show, is quitting it, as there is not much meat left in her character after the makers decided to give it a different plot. However, the actress denied it all. She confirmed to a leading daily that contrary to reports, she is simply going on a break.
Clearing the air she said, “I am not quitting 'Kasautii'..., but I am going on a break for five-six months, as I have given my nod to a movie. I can’t disclose much about the film, but yes, I have communicated my decision to the makers of the show. Having said that, I will be back on the show whenever I am required. In the earlier season too, the track would change and Komolika would take a break and come back. As of now, I won’t be seen post March.”
Last November, too, Hina had disappeared from the show because of a movie project. Recently, the makers decided to change the original storyline of 'Kasautii', and get Anurag (Parth Samthaan) and Prerna (Erica Fernandes) married. Ask Hina if that is the reason for her break and she replies, “That’s not true. In fact, the focus will always be on Komolika, but I have to concentrate on my films and I will be attending the Cannes film festival this year. There is no other reason and people should not read much into this.”
Well, the actress definitely has a lot in her kitty right now and we hope we see her on Kasautii soon.
