While actresses Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi are under the Enforcement Directorate's scanner for being associated with jailed conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, there's a new twist to the tale. According to the latest reports, Nikki Tamboli and Chahatt Khanna's names have cropped up in the ongoing investigation of a 200-crore money laundering case.
As per a portal's report, Nikki and Chahatt met Sukesh in Delhi’s Tihar jail. Reportedly, the Bigg Boss 14 contestant met the conman through a person named Pinky Irani, who according to the Mumbai police was a close aide of the accused. The actress reportedly said in her statement that Sukesh was introduced to her as a producer from the South named Shekhar. According to the report, Nikki's statement was recorded on December 15, 2021.
Reportedly, the ED, in a chargesheet, mentioned, "During the first meeting in April, 2018, the accused Pinky Irani received an amount to the tune of Rs 10 lakh in cash from Sukesh Chandrasekhar, out of which she gave cash to the tune of Rs. 1.5 lakh to Nikita Tamboli. On the second occasion, after two to three weeks of her first meeting, she went alone to meet Sukesh Chandrasekhar where she was given cash to the tune of Rs 2 lakh and one Gucci Bag by the accused Sukesh Chandrasekhar."
Similarly, Sukesh was introduced to Chahatt as Shekhar Reddy, the owner of a South Indian channel. “It was further revealed that once in May,2018, Chahat Khanna met accused Sukesh Chandrasekhar inside the Tihar Jail, Delhi at his office, maintained there, for which the accused Pinky Irani gave her Rs 2 lakh in cash and a blue coloured Versace watch,” the ED stated in its chargesheet. Pink reportedly contacted Chahatt as Angel, the owner of a talent agency based in LA, Dubai and Mumbai, and a lawyer by profession. As per the report, the actress recorded her statement on December 16, 2021.
According to reports, Jacqueline has been named an accused by the ED in the supplementary chargesheet filed in a Delhi court. She is still being questioned.
