Priyanka Chopra, who ‘missed the madness of Hindi movies,’ shares details of her upcoming Bollywood film The Sky Is Pink

Priyanka Chopra is all set to return to Bollywood after four years with Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink and told a leading daily that she has “missed the madness of Hindi movies” so far. Speaking of her upcoming film The Sky Is Pink, Priyanka said that her role in Shonali’s film was a big challenge but she was able to pull it off successfully.

"Though the film is about parents losing their child to an incurable disease, it's a unique take on death — one that celebrates people's lives instead of mourning their death. It was a challenge to go from 22 to 60 after 7 Khoon Maaf (2011). I was able to sink my teeth in the part,” Priyanka told the daily.

The Sky Is Pink, co-starring Zaira Wasim and Farhan Akhtar, is based on the life of motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary, who was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. The film will release on October 11.

As for Priyanka, she has been spending most of her time in the USA since 2015 as she made her debut on television with the American TV series Quantico. Two years later, she made her debut in Hollywood with Baywatch in 2017 and simultaneously kept herself occupied with projects in the US, including A Kid Like Jake and her new Hollywood film Isn’t It Romantic. Hence, it isn’t surprising at all that she is excited about her return to Bollywood.

"I have missed the madness of Hindi movies. I don't look at it as a choice between Hollywood and Bollywood, it's the magic of movies. The first thing I did after Quantico was a Hindi movie. My career in both countries is dear to me, and as long as people want to watch me, I'll stay,” Priyanka added.

In Bollywood, Priyanka Chopra was last seen in 2016’s Jai Gangaajal.
