Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel shares a sexist scene involving Raj Kapoor and Nargis from ‘Awara’, calls out Bollywood’s feigned outrage over ‘Kabir Singh’

Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel is once again making headlines. She had raised quite a few eyebrows when she supported Kabir Singh director Sandeep Reddy Vanga on his comments made during an interview. The director has been receiving flak for his misogynistic film as well as his regressive attitude on love and relationships in the interview. However, Rangoli has come out in support of the director and even lashed out at the film journalist for asking Vanga the reason behind his entry into Bollywood.

Now, Rangoli has shared a video clip on Twitter that is from the popular film Awara starring Raj Kapoor and Nargis. In the video, Raj Kapoor can be seen wringing Nargis’ hand and chocking her and even slapping her several times for calling him ‘junglee’. She wrote that the scene was extremely sexist and troublesome and the true face of Bollywood so a south maker should not be made a scapegoat and consider Raj Kapoor a legend.

Despite receiving a few criticisms, Shahid Kapoor’s and Kiara Advani’s Kabir Singh has been minting money at the box office. The film has become a blockbuster and already crossed Rs 200 crore mark within an extremely short span of time. Shahid’s performance of a jilted lover who resorts to alcohol and drugs to cope with his girlfriend getting married to someone else has been praised by one and all.
