Shahid Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor wrap up Batti Gul Meter Chalu with a celebratory song 'Hard Hard'

Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor started filming for Shree Narayan Singh’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu in February in Uttarakhand. They finished their shoot in Mumbai a few days back. Before Shraddha headed for vacation, the duo wrapped up the film with a fun dance number, titled Hard Hard, choreographed by Ganesh Acharya. The stars shot the song at Mehboob Studios over the weekend. Sung by Mika Singh, the track also features actor Divyendu Sharma. The song is composed by Sachit Parampara and is written by Siddharth-Garima. The film also stars Yami Gautam.

Talking about the fun song in Batti Gul..., director Shree Narayan Singh told a leading daily that he intentionally kept the song towards the end of the shooting schedule along with the climax of the film and knew that choreographer Ganesh would do justice to the celebratory number. The song was shot over four days.

Earlier, the film had run into monetary issues and was stalled owing to erstwhile producer Prernaa Arora’s financial problems. Reportedly, Shahid and Shraddha had refused to start shooting if the dues were not cleared. T-series head honcho, Bhushan Kumar came as a savior and took over Batti Gul Meter Chalu as well as Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao starrer Fanney Khan, ensuring that both projects were completed.

After wrapping up the shoot of the film, Shraddha took off for a family vacation with her parents and brother. She would resume prep for her Saina Nehwal biopic once she returns. On the other hand, Shahid will start shooting for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Arjun Reddy remake with Tara Sutaria. He also has a few more lucrative projects in hand including Airlift director Raja Krishna Menon’s film on a boxer’s life. The actor will play the role of a boxer for the first time in his career.
