The series starts with an interesting incident where Gaurav Gera’s (Jignesh) character walks into a bank and speaks to the manager about the security system wherein he introduces himself as Sudhir Kohli’s (Karan Singh Grover) assistant.  We get to witness blood, gun firing, sex in the police station and a lot more drama all in one episode, which is too much to digest indeed!

As we move forward, mysteries start unfolding as the story takes a complete U-turn when the police force appoints ACP Sakshi Pradhan (Sagrika Ghagtge) to tackle the cases. The team of cops is on a mission to solve the increasing crime rate in Shimla with the help of ace cops and investigators. Boss aka Keshav Pandit is on a secret mission to find a mysterious criminal and make Shimla a better place for its residents. Under the guise of cop Sudhir Kohli’s identity, he joins the police team to further his own plans.

Will Sudhir trace the mysterious criminal and put him behind the bars? Will Sakshi and Sudhir fall in love? What is the motive behind Sudhir’s mission and does he complete it without revealing his identity is what the series is all about.

While the team solves some mysterious murders and crimes, Sudhir Kohli aka Boss is on his own personal mission. Along the journey, we also get to know that Karan has taken on Sudhir Kohli’s identity by murdering the real person to find a mysterious criminal that he has been looking for. Who is this mysterious man, who is he looking for, and what is his motive is what the series is all about?

Karan Singh Grover as the flamboyant cop takes us back to his Dill Mill Gaye days, his flirtatious avatar makes us swoon and reminds us that why he is such a heartthrob. Sagarika reminds us of her Chak De days, she is smart, kickass and the chemistry between her and Karan is indeed to watch out for. Gaurav Gera in the serious yet meaty role makes an impact on screen.

Mahesh Shetty essays the role of Chief and charms us with his act towards the climax. He keeps us hooked throughout and make us wonder about his next move. We can only say, in this multi-starer series, Mahesh as an antagonist is an unmissable add on of the show.

The mystery thriller, spanning 10 gripping episodes of half-an-hour each is edgy, and will also take you on a romantic ride in Shimla. Packed with a heavy dose of action, drama, mystery, and thrill, Boss: Baap of special Services promises to be a complete masala entertainer.
