While most people think Gurmeet and Debina fell in love on the sets of Star Plus's Ramayan, in reality, it happened much earlier. They met each other for the first time during a talent contest in Mumbai in 2006.

According to most, they got married in 2011. However, Gurmeet revealed that when they were just 19 and 20 years old, in 2006, they eloped and got married.

They welcomed a baby girl named Lianna, in 2022, and were blessed with another in 2023, Divisha.
