Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore trailer 2: Mads Mikkelsen wages war against Muggles as Gellert Grindelwald; Jude Law & Eddie Redmayne join forces to take him down

The trailer of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore has finally dropped, albeit a slight delay. The trailer was meant to be released last Thursday (February 24), but was delayed for unknown reasons. However, the wait has been worth it as the trailer is full of magical action and suspenseful drama. The trailer shows a face-off between Jude Law’s Albus Dumbledore and Mads Mikkelsen’s Gellert Grindelwald who takes on the role from Johnny Deep post his exit from the Harry Potter spin-off franchise.

The trailer shared by Warner Bros. shows Grindelwald wreaking havoc on the wizarding world in his attempt to seize control over it, the only one able to stop him is his former friend, Professor Dumbledore, but due to a blood pact made during their youth they decided never to fight each other. However, Dumbledore is not sitting idle but joins forces with magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to lead a team of wizards, witches and a muggle (Dan Fogler) as they prepare to fight Grindelwald and his followers.

The third instalment of Fantastic Beasts franchise also stars Jessica Williams, Callum Turner, Victoria Yeates, William Nadylam, Richard Coyle, Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller, Alison Sudol, Poppy Corby-Tuech, Alksandr Kuznetsov, Oliver Masucci, Maria Fernanda Candido and Dave Wong.

David Yates, who directed the final four Harry Potter films and the previous two Fantastic Beasts movies, is returning to helm the third instalment as well. JK Rowling and Steve Kloves have written the screenplay. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is slated to release on April 15, 2022.
